Obituary of Jose Enrique Ortega
Jose Enrique Ortega, age 55, passed away on July 4, 2018 at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. Since his birth on February 25, 1963 in Cuba till his passing, Joe was always the ultimate family man. The year after he was born, Joe became an older brother to Adis, to whom he was an advisor, protector, and best friend. At the early age of three, Joe fell in love with the sport of baseball. He played baseball competitively at an early age and as he aged, he instilled that love for baseball in his sons and nephews. Throughout his childhood years, Joe’s clique consisted of Adis, Dolly, and Rosi. Although they were cousins, Joe considered Dolly and Rosi his sisters. After graduation at Emerson High School in New Jersey, Joe pursued a career in Aviation. In 1984, Joe became a father to his son, Christian. While raising Chris, Joe saw a lot of himself in him. Joe raised Chris with values that he will cherish for the rest of his life and will instill in his daughter, Gabriella. Two years after the birth of Christian, Joe had a second child, to whom he named Janizzette. Throughout Janizzette’s life, Joe was an amazing father and role model. In 2005, his youngest son was born, whom he named Joey. Joe shared his love of sports, especially baseball, to Joey. Joe was proud and knew that Joey would grow up to be a great man. Joe was not only a father and a brother but also an incredible son to his mother, Eyda. Whenever Eyda needed anything, Joe would be there in an instant. Joe is survived by his mother Eyda; his sister Adis; his sons, Chris and Joey; his daughter Janizzette; his cousins, Dolly and Rosi; his aunt Esther; his nephews, Manny and Michael; and his grandchild Gabriella. Joe was admired by everyone in the family. Joe was the ultimate son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. If anyone ever needed anything, Joe would be there. Joe’s greatest accomplishment was his family. He will truly be missed for the rest of our days. Funeral services will be held on July 7, 2018 at Scarano Funeral Homes. The addressis 4351 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, Florida. The viewing will begin at 2:00 pm and the services begins at 7:00pm. Arrangements by Joseph A.
