Obituary of Joseph James Forst

Joseph James Forst, 93 of Davie passed away Wednesday January 15, 2020 in Davie, Florida. Born May 20, 1926. In Repose Friday January 24, 2020 from 2-5 P.M., Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday January 25, 2020 at 10 A.M. at St. David Catholic Church, 3900 South University Drive, Davie, Florida 33328 954-475-8046, cremation to follow. Arrangements by Joseph A. Scarano Stirling Memorial Chapel, 6970 Stirling Rd, Davie, Florida 33024 954-438-8222. Joseph Forst passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 15 at the age of 93. Joseph served his country for a short time in the Army and was a Union worker in Brooklyn New York. Following his retirement, Joe moved to FL in 1984 with his wife, Alice. They worked together at Calder Race for a number of years and celebrated 46 years of marriage this January. Joe’s absolute passion was the horse track and he loved playing cards, even teaching his great nieces at young ages to play poker using M&Ms for betting.Joe is survived by his wife, Alice and his nephew, Ray.
