Obituary of Richard Kondracki

Richard James Kondracki, Sr. of Hollywood, FL passed away on Jan. 1, 2017 at the age of 72. He was born on May 10, 1944 in New Brunswick, NJ. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Sally Kondracki, and his brothers, Joseph Kondracki and Raymond Kondracki. He is survived by his beloved sister Janet Kardys, his loving children Charlotte Hoppensteadt,husband Kevin, Richard Kondracki, Jr., and James Kondracki, wife Mary Elizabeth, and cherished grandchildren Luke, Jake, Kaelyn, Clark, and Claire. He is also survived by his loving friend Margaret Dierks. Richard grew up in New Jersey and Orange County, New York. He relocated to South Florida in 1971. Most of his life, he worked in construction as a Civil Engineer. Richard loved being outdoors and on the water. He greatly enjoyed his boat, R.J.s Girl, as well as fishing, diving, and traveling the Caribbean . He was adventurous, sentimental, and liked having a good time. He also loved music. Richie played the accordion as a kid and entertained his family on many occasions. He enjoyed singing karaoke, listening to music, dancing, and never let his disability hold him back. Richard attended St. Columbia Catholic School, St. John's Catholic High School in Goshen, NY, and Villanova University in Pennsylvania for Civil Engineering He owned and operated R.J. Kondracki, Enterprises for 25 years. He left his mark on this area by developing many shopping centers in Broward and Dade counties. As the sun sets, may you rest in peace, "Captain".
