Life Story
Kelly Tuttle Yeomans was born in Charleston, SC on October 3, 1961. Her parents Mildred and Joseph B. Tuttle had five children including Joseph III (aka Jay), Donna, Teri, and Clay, with Kelly being the second youngest. The Tuttle family moved to South Florida in 1962. She graduated from Hallandale High School in 1979. She married in 1988 and had her first and only child named Jessica two years later. Kelly and her husband separated around the time Jessica was 2.
She loved working as a front desk manager in the hotel industry. Kelly was well-liked because she made friends wherever she went. Her passion was cooking and she always put others first. She loved the beach, line dancing, and animals. Everyone knew how much of a fan Kelly was of Elvis Presley and Alan Jackson that she was showered with memorabilia gifts. Kelly’s favorite time of year was Christmas, enjoying all of the baking, decorating, and the holiday traditions. She was a huge movie buff, favoring black-and-white pictures such as It's a Wonderful Life, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and Miracle on 34th Street. She even knew the family trees of the actors and actresses. But, most of all, she loved God, her family, and friends.
Kelly always made herself available to help family and friends. She was the coolest mom in the neighborhood entertaining groups of kids at a time, down-to-earth and fun to be around. When Kelly’s father, JB had a stroke, she and Jessica moved in with her parents to help take care of him. JB used to always say that Kelly should have been a nurse. She always had home remedies and natural motherly advice when someone had an ailment. In 2014, Kelly was extremely proud of her daughter for graduating nursing school. Kelly gained a son when Jessica married Brian Kirchner in 2016, whom she was also very proud of. Kelly’s first grandson, Colton was born the following year, bringing such joy to her life. Her second grandchild is due in April 2021. She was very excited for the one on the way.
