Obituary of Robert William Ellis

Robert William Ellis, aged 66, died peacefully in his sleep March 6, 2021 in Miramar, Fl. Born March 19th, 1954 in Ontario Canada, he is one of 8 children. He is predeceased by both parents, Don & Mary Ellis and his youngest son, Steven William Ellis. Lovingly referred to as “Ellis”, he was a man with an amazing sense of humor, brightened rooms he walked into, and never missed an opportunity to deliver a great one-liner. He had a way of seeing things for what they were, accepting what life handed him, no matter how challenging, and still found a way to make a joke and laugh his way through it. It was that spirit that gave him the energy and courage needed for his battle with cancer over the last two years. He was a man with a huge heart, willing to help anyone in need, and a smile and laugh that was infectious. He leaves behind his sons Dan Ellis (Iris Ellis), Thomas Renaud and many family members, friends and acquaintances that will remember his good spirit, kind heart and great sense of humor. A viewing is planned for Saturday, March 13th from 3-7pm at Scarano Funeral Homes located at 9000 Pines Boulevard, Pembroke Pines, FL 33024.
