Elvera Livera,
Beloved Mother, Nani, Aunt and friend to many passed away peacefully at home on 11-16-21 at the age of 97.
Born on 9-14-24 in Newark N.J. to parents Saverio and Mariannina (DeRosa) Durso.
A graduate of West Side High School in 1942, she then proudly worked in a factory aiding WWII. A cherished teen memory was seeing her idol, Frank SInatra, at the Paramount Theatre in NYC.
After the war ended, she married Thomas Livera in 1946 and became a loving mother to her 3 children, Phyllis, Michelle and Tommy.
Vera was an active member of the Columbus Hospital Women's Auxiliary Guild in Newark, as well as building a successful professional career as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative and a Real Estate agent.
Vera moved from Bloomfield, NJ to Hollywood Fl in 1989 to Carriage Hills Condominiums where she enjoyed an active life with many friends and neighbors.
Vera was beloved Nani to her grandchildren Jason Marconi and Kristen, Paul and Marc Livera
Vera was sister to Josephine Di Giovanni, Edith Ercolano, Marion Renda, Peter Durso and Anthony Durso as well as a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass honoring Vera's life will take place on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 6 PM at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church on Sterling Road in Davie, Florida.
She will be missed by all.
