Some people go an entire lifetime hoping they can meet their hero or the person they admire the most one day, I have been blessed to have know mine my whole life.
Dad, as I sit back and reflect, I realize how my life has revolved around or mirrored yours from enlisting into the military to becoming a police officer; I only hope I have, or can be, as wonderful of a father, grandfather, and husband as you.
Thank you for all that have done for me and taught me; I will continue to live my life in a way that would make you proud both personally and professionally.
Rest easy sir, you have earned it. Love you always.
