Maria Liistro
Maria Liistro passed away on the morning of July 23, 2022, just two weeks after her 90th birthday. She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Salvatore Liistro, her daughter
Paula Roberge and son-in-law Frank Naczi, her daughter Eleanor Fraikin and son-in-law Alan Fraikin, granddaughter Heather Williams, her brother Santino Pollicita, and sister Santina Urcuillo.
Maria was born in Argentina, grew up in Sicily where she met and married Salvatore, and came to the United States in 1953, residing in New Britain, Connecticut. Maria was always happy and smiling, no matter what life was throwing at her. She had an infectious personality, and had many friends and people who loved her. Maria enjoyed her years in Hallandale Beach, Florida with her husband and her family, after retirement from Fafnir's in Connecticut. She loved the beach, dancing, music, and cruising. In Repose Thursday July 28, 2022 from 2-4 P.M. at the Joseph A. Scarano Presidential Memorial Chapel, Funeral Mass will be held on Friday July 29, 2022 at 10 A.M. at St. Matthew Catholic, Entombment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens, Florida.
