Obituary of Michael Janiak
Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Michael Anthony Janiak, 55, entered into the loving arms of our Lord Jesus on July 24, 2022 in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Michael was born in Petersburg, Virginia, on January 25, 1967. Soon after Mike was born, he moved to South Florida where he grew up and spent most of his life. Mike was a very funny, energetic and happy kid growing up. He enjoyed watching and playing sports, riding his bike, traveling with his dad, and was always willing to give something a try no matter how hard the challenge. Mike continued to live in South Florida, finishing college and moving on to work in the restaurant business. On May 31, 2005, Mike married the love of his life, Sandra Giraldo, and he officially became known as – Gringo Loco. Cooking, trying new restaurants, beach days, pool days, movies, concerts, and being with their 4 dogs were some of the favorite things Mike & Sandra loved doing together. Mike would want to make sure that FSU is aware they lost one of their biggest and loudest fans but you will hear his cheers echoing from above on game-day.
Survived by: Sandra (wife); William & Betsy Janiak (parents); Cathy Broxton (sister); Kyle & Jay Broxton (nephews), Faith Broxton (niece); Mario & Elsa Giraldo (in-Law); María Fernanda Giraldo (sister in law); Maria Paola & Fabiana Giraldo (nieces); Ximena Giraldo (sister in law); Sofía Bracho (niece); Valeria Giraldo (niece); and many other loving uncles, aunts, cousins & friends.
