Obituary of Wilson G. Alvarez

Wilson Gonzalo Alvarez, 82, of Quito, Ecuador, passed away on November 28, 2022, in Plantation, Florida. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 8330 Johnson Street, Pembroke Pines, FL 33024 on December 3rd, 2022, at 1 p.m. with Father Freddy Yara of St. Boniface Catholic Church officiating. A Memorial Service will follow at 4351 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, FL 33021 at 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Joseph A. Scarano Presidential Circle Memorial Chapel will be handling the funeral arrangements. Wilson Gonzalo was born in Quito, Ecuador to Maria Luisa Sarsoza and Humberto Alvarez on August 19, 1940. He went to high school at Escuela Superior Militar in Quito, Ecuador. He worked as a tailor in New York. He enjoyed playing games and traveling with the family. Wilson Gonzalo is survived by his spouse, Beatriz Alvarez; children, Mauricio, Joanne, and Zandra; siblings Gustavo and Jorge; grandchildren, Justin, Andrew, Daniel, Natalie, Izabella, and Emilio; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Charlotte, and Luka; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Luisa Sarsoza, father, Humberto Alvarez, and siblings. Wilson Gonzalo was a very loving husband, dad, brother, grandpa, uncle, and friend; he will always be remembered.
