Obituary of Marie Helene Leger

Welcome everyone to Marie-Helene Rameau TAVERNIER LEGER’s memorial ceremony. First and foremost, I want to thank our loving Heavenly Father who has been a great help to us truly blessed us for 60 + years in many ways with our beloved mother. God demonstrated His unconditional love and mom passed it on to everybody she knew. We are born of love; love is our mother. When you look into your mother’s eyes, you know that is the purest love you can find on this earth. Marie-Helen is like the mother who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take. The fact is those we love don’t go away, mom walks besides us everyday. Remember the sitcom ‘everybody loves Raymond’, I believe everybody loved Marie-Helene. She is survived by her 4 children (CRPS)(that’s me), 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, all of whom are present. My lovely wife ANNO is in the house, along with Ayman aka Habibi 2 from mom and papa Noel from me, and Benny aka Boogs. Also here are Marie-Helen’s sisters Gladys and JeJe accompanied by their family. My dad’s side is also in the house — George, Phil my godson and Francky, born to my uncle mononc Jose, who recently passed. RIP UNC! Mario,Linda, Tito, Liz, Shirley??? And to invited close friends and company, thank you so much for coming out to show your love and respect to mom, to the family and relatives, and, to each other. We really appreciate you and we’re very happy that you’re here to celebrate mom’s grand life and legacy. Please join me as i recite the Lord’s Prayer….(clap offering unto the Lord for allowing this gathering to pay tribute to Marie-Helene. Though mom walks besides us everyday, grief is never something you get over. Actually grief and love are conjoined. You don’t get one without the other. And so I take comfort — we take comfort in knowing the memories of mom are all treasures, and that there is one more angel above us because our merciful and gracious LORD has rewarded Marie-Helene with eternal life in the kingdom of GOD. Amen !!
