Alfred Joseph Sousa, Jr. born in Hamilton, Bermuda January 11, 1950. His father was 25 and his mother Mary Stella Tavares was 25. He came to United States on March 3, 1957 to East Providence, Rhode Island, USA. With his mother, sister Mary & brother David to live with there new stepdad Kenneth T. Hamblin. His brother Kenneth Lee Hamblin was born when Alfred was 7 years old on August 24, 1957 in Providence, Rhode island. His mother Mary Stella Tavares was born on July 14, 1924 in Rabo de Peixe, Sao Miguel, Azores. She went to live in Bermuda August 8, 1935 along with her sister Mary de Santo Cristo Tavares. Children Howard, Jason, & Jacinta. Grandchildren Audra, Kailey, Conor, Dillion. 2 Great grandchildren. Survived by Louise M. Senior. Sister Mary Wagoner (California). Mother Mary Stella Hamblin (California). Brother Kenneth Hamblin (Florida). Proceeded in death his brother David Sousa, father Alfred Sousa, Sr, Late wife Sandee Sousa. He has 15 nieces & nephews, plus many friends in Bermuda and the United States. Alfred was a Master Automobile Mechanic all his life. He loved helping others, but you know mechanics, they say that there wife’s cars never work well. He was a joker at heart, lived to eat and loved being with family. At the holidays one of his favorite foods was fruitcake and his mother made a great one. He would take the cake and eat little pieces at a time, one year the cake lasted him 6 months, and that’s a 3-pound fruit cake.
