Obituary of Yvonne Douglass

Yvonne Douglass, age 70, of New York City, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2024, in Hollywood, Florida. Born on August 20, 1952, in Port of Spain, Trinidad, to Anastashia Salvary and Victor Hills, Yvonne went on to build a life of love, dedication, and service. Yvonne moved to New York City, where she completed her High School in 1971 and earned a degree in Early Child Care in 1982. Her early career saw her working as a professional fashion model, gracing runways for renowned designers such as Betsey Johnson. After her modeling career, Yvonne devoted herself to professional child care, a field in which she worked for 25 years, making a positive and lasting impact on countless lives. Yvonne is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy Douglass, and their two beloved daughters, Briele and Felicia Douglass. She was known for her kind heart, generosity, and unwavering spirit. Those who knew her describe her as one of the world's most wonderful people. A memorial service to honor Yvonne's life will be held in New York City and via multimedia on Saturday, October 5, 2024.
