Miramar - Anibal Firpi, 73, died Thursday, December 31, 2015 at his home.
Anibal, a.k.a. "Firpi", was born in Camuy, Puerto Rico July 10, 1942, the son of Jose and Elenia Firpi. In his early years, Anibal came to the United States and lived with family in Brooklyn, New York. With the help of his brother, Josian and his wife Lucy Firpi, Anibal built a strong relationship with the Lord and became an Evangelist.
In his ministry, he loved to preach the gospel, work in the men's ministry and he traveled to different churches to show Christian films.
Most of his working life, Anibal worked as a handyman, including owning his own maintenance business. He had many skill sets, including laying tile, interior and exterior painting, roofing, and pressure cleaning.
He had a passion for buying, selling and collecting antiques as well as playing Dominoes with some of his closest friends. Warmly known as "Nemo", he was well known throughout the neighborhood as a kind and giving man who loved his sons beyond measure and spoke highly of them often.
Anibal was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Josian and Roberto Firpi, and his son Samuel Luis Firpi. He is survived by his son, David Alexander Firpi and his wife, Jacqueline Firpi; his son, Jose Antonio Firpi and his wife, Suzanne Firpi; two granddaughters, Gianna and Arya; his ex-wife of 30 years, Maria (Ayala) Firpi; one brother, Carlos Firpi and many close family members and friends.
