Obituary of Joseph Anthony Campbell

CAMPBELL Joseph Anthony Campbell, 87, of Pembroke Pines, Florida, passed away Sunday March 26, 2017 in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Joseph was born August 21, l929 in Cleveland, Ohio to his loving parents Victoria Krauss and Joseph Campbell. Joseph was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Rickenbacker Campbell of 66 years and the devoted father of Carol Campbell Cabrera (Miguel), Joseph Campbell, Jr., the late Nancy Campbell Mittler (Ronald), and Marilyn Campbell. He was the cherished grandfather of Anne Cabrera, Michael Cabrera (Katy), Charles Cabrera, and Caroline Cabrera (Philip Muller) and great grandfather of Gabriel Cabrera, Alexander Cabrera, Jacob Wright-Cabrera, and Arlo Cabrera. He was the dearest brother of the late Theodore Campbell, the late Patricia Phillips, Victor, and Brian Campbell. Formerly of Columbus, Ohio, Joseph had been a resident of South Florida since l958, when he relocated for his work in the refrigerated storage industry. He enjoyed playing golf, reading, singing, watching sports (especially baseball), hiking on Beech Mountain in North Carolina, and spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church on Friday, March 31 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by Joseph A. Scarano Pines Memorial Chapel. Pembroke Pines Florida."In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the World Wildlife Fund."
